Is payroll available in our country?
Odoo supports local payroll out-of-the-box for 15+ countries including the US, Canada, UK, UAE, India, Belgium, France, Germany, Netherlands, Italy, Spain, Luxembourg, Switzerland, and Australia. For others we either integrate with a local payroll provider (Gusto, ADP, Paychex, Deel, Remote.com) or configure a rules engine for countries not on our native list.
Does it integrate with our existing HRIS?
Yes — we run parallel systems during migration or integrate with BambooHR, Workday, or ADP via API. Most clients consolidate fully onto Odoo HR over 6-12 months; a few keep Workday at the system-of-record layer for strategic reasons and use Odoo as operational HR.
How does recruitment work?
Full ATS: job posting to careers page and job boards (LinkedIn, Indeed, Glassdoor via integrations), application tracking, candidate scoring, interview scheduling, offer letter generation with eSignature, and auto-conversion to employee record on acceptance. For sophisticated recruiting (sourcing intelligence, assessment integration, complex interview logistics) we layer in Greenhouse alongside Odoo, but most clients use Odoo natively.
What about employee self-service?
Employees have a portal for leave requests, expense reports, timesheet entry, pay stub access, W-2/1099 download, profile updates, and skills/training progress. Mobile app covers the daily-use cases.
Does it handle performance reviews?
Yes — goal setting, 360 reviews, quarterly check-ins, and compensation planning. For sophisticated performance management practices (continuous feedback, 9-box calibration, succession planning) we extend the native module or integrate Lattice / 15Five.
What about benefits administration?
Odoo tracks benefit elections, contributions, and deductions (flowing into payroll). For enrollment management, carrier feeds, and COBRA administration in the US we integrate with Gusto, ADP, or dedicated bendmin tools.
Can we handle multi-country workforce?
Yes. We've deployed Odoo HR for organizations with employees across 10-40 countries. Each country's payroll rules, tax regime, and benefit practices are configured separately. For global payroll we integrate Deel or Remote.com as needed.
