Odoo's native payroll isn't US-localized, so every US deployment needs a payroll strategy: integrate a US provider (ADP, Gusto, Paychex, Paylocity) or build payroll inside Odoo. Here's the honest starting point: Odoo's built-in Payroll module ships localizations for some countries, but US payroll, federal + state + local withholding, multi-state filings, W-2 / 941 / 940, garnishments, and the constant tax-table churn, is not something you want a generic Odoo configuration to own. So a US Odoo payroll project is really a decision between two paths, and the right answer depends on your headcount, complexity, and appetite for compliance ownership.
